Largo’s newest brewery welcomed throngs of thirsty customers last weekend when the Olde Florida Brewing Company opened its doors just in time for Tampa Bay Beer Week.

And while the newly opened brewery, located at 1158 7th. St. N—still working on some details, it currently offers its house beers in pints, half-pints, and flights; growler refills will be available soon. Olde Florida Brewing Co. currently offers lagers, dark ales, IPAs, amber ales, dark IPAs, coffee stouts, milk stouts and geese, with ABVs ranging from 4.5% to 8.7 %.

Half pints are $3.50, pints are $6, and sample size for beer flights will cost you $2 each. There’s also a small selection of wines for sale alongside soft drinks like sodas and juices.

Its small bar features a bright Florida beach-themed bar top, with barrels and other brewing gear displayed along the adjacent wall — arguably one of the most unique things about this new brewery.

There’s also a sprawling outdoor seating area fully stocked with beach chairs and kitsch Florida decor, including a vintage jet ski plant rack. In addition to its house beers, Olde Florida Brewing Co. also sells merchandise like shirts, hats, and tank tops.

Jay Dingman of the Palm Harbor-based Ozona Brewing Company and Rodney Woods have teamed up to open Largo’s brand new craft brewery. Until last year, the building that now houses Olde Florida Brewing Co. was Hammerstein Brewing Company, though it’s unclear when that facility officially closed.

The former brewery’s Facebook has been deleted and the last post on its Instagram was almost two years ago. The Olde Florida Brewing Co. LLC was formed in September 2021, likely after Hammerstein closed its doors.

Olde Florida Brewing Co. will have friendly competition in the northern Pinellas area, as neighbors include Commerce Brewing, Arkane Aleworks, and the ever-expanding Big Storm Brewing Co..

This pet-friendly and child-friendly brasserie is now open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, noon-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and noon-8 p.m. Sunday. Olde Florida Brewing Co. is closed on Mondays.
