Great Divide Brewing Company to stay in RiNo area of Denver

Great Divide Brewing Co. announced plans in January to exit its Brighton Boulevard site.

DENVER — Great Divide Brewing Company announced Monday that it will remain in the River North (RiNo) neighborhood of Denver “for the foreseeable future.”

“We are thrilled to announce that Great Divide will maintain a presence in RiNo for the foreseeable future!” said a statement from Great Divide. “The Barrel Bar, along with a revamped event space, will remain in operation through a partnership with new owners, the Colorado-based McWhinney Company.”

The Denver brewery announced in January that it would sell its 65,000-square-foot Barrel Bar and Packaging Hall on Brighton Boulevard, which opened in 2015, as part of a plan to consolidate its operations.

The brewery had planned to consolidate all of its operations into its brewery and taproom on Arapahoe Street in Denver’s Ballpark neighborhood, its home since 1994.
