Fermentation fans of all skill levels will gather for 43rd annual homebrewing conference June 17-19
Home brewers and fermentation enthusiasts across the country are invited to join the American Homebrew Association from June 17 to 19 for the 43rd Annual Homebrew Convention™—a three-day conference celebrating the art of brewing beer, making cider, mead and kombucha, and learning about fermentation techniques. Attendees of all experience levels will attend the event online from the comfort of their homes. This year, Homebrew Con features a keynote speaker, virtual exhibit hall, and over 20 live seminars with access to post-event recordings. The conference ends with the National Homebrew Competition awards ceremony, the world’s largest international amateur beer competition recognizing outstanding home-brewed beer, mead and cider.
Homebrew Con welcomes anyone of legal drinking age interested in the hobby of homebrewing, mead, or cider to attend expert-led seminars on topics ranging from techniques and ingredients to history and to the latest trends in home brewing. Experienced pro brewers and home brewers who just got their toes wet are invited to deepen their knowledge and immerse themselves in all that ferments.
Marcus Baskerville, head brewer and co-founder of Weathered Souls Brewery, will deliver this year’s keynote address. Baskerville will share his craft beer journey from home to professional brewer and the creation of the black is beautiful. Since June 2020, more than 1,200 breweries in 22 countries have committed to brewing the Recipe Back Is Beautiful to support local organizations that build positive and equitable communities.
Although attendance is limited to members of the American Homebrewers Association and the Brewers Association, all beer enthusiasts are welcome to join the American Homebrewers Association and discover the joys of homebrewing. Membership starts at $4.99 per month.
