OKLAHOMA CITY –
If you don’t want to travel far this holiday weekend, the Oklahoma Craft Brewers Association has a way to stamp a passport without leaving the state.
The Oklahoma Craft Beer Trail Passport is a digital passport allowing users to register at participating breweries across the state.
It offers beer lovers a way to explore Oklahoma’s growing brewing scene.
By registering for the passport and visiting taprooms along the trail, users can win prizes.
It requires a one-time configuration to capture user information. After that, users can start checking in at each of the 51 participating breweries once they are within 2 miles of it.
Jake Keyes, owner and brewer of Skydance Brewing, said he thought it would be good for the brewing industry.
“Craft beer is new to a lot of people in Oklahoma City and Oklahoma,” he says, “It’s really going to help educate people about craft beer, maybe get them more to come to breweries and discover new things. Try something new.”
Brewers will also benefit from this passport.
This will drive traffic to their breweries and they will receive customer data that they otherwise would not have access to.
